These terms are an agreement between you and Bruno Dini, an individual developer established at Via Vecchia Pesciatina 912B, 55100 Lucca (LU), Italy ("ReciDeck", "we", "us"), operator of the ReciDeck app and recideck.com.

By creating an account or using ReciDeck you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

1. The service

ReciDeck lets you save, import, organize, cook from, and share recipes.

Recipe extraction from links, photos, and text is automated, including processing by AI models, and produces our best structured reading of the source. See §10 for what that means in practice and where you must apply your own judgment.

2. Your account

You need an account to use ReciDeck. You must provide a working email address, keep your credentials secure, and you are responsible for activity on your account.

Minimum age. You must be at least 16 to create an account. If you are under 16, you may not use ReciDeck. We do not knowingly allow accounts for users below this age, and we will delete any we become aware of.

3. Plans, imports, and fair use

Plans. ReciDeck offers Free, Premium, and Family. Current prices are shown in the app before you subscribe.

Free. Up to 100 recipes in total, 5 recipe imports per week, up to 3 collections, and up to 3 grocery lists. Manual entry and editing are unlimited. You can share recipes with other members and receive shares from them.

Premium. Unlimited recipes, imports, collections, and grocery lists, for personal, non-commercial use. Sharing with other members is included.

Family. Everything in Premium, for the organizer plus up to 3 members — four people on one subscription. Only within a family can collections and grocery lists be shared with the whole group, as described in §7.

What counts as an import. An import is any recipe produced by our automated extraction — from a link, a photo, or pasted text. Recipes you type in yourself are never counted, on any plan, and neither is editing. The Free plan's weekly allowance applies only to automated extraction.

Failed imports are free. If an extraction fails, nothing is deducted from your allowance. An import counts only when you get a recipe out of it.

When the weekly allowance resets. The Free allowance runs on calendar weeks, not a rolling window. It resets every Monday at 00:00 UTC — which is 01:00 or 02:00 Monday morning in Italy, depending on daylight saving. Unused imports do not carry over.

Family allowance is shared. On the Family plan the import allowance is a single pool across all members, not one allowance each.

Storage limit on the Free plan. A Free account can hold up to 100 recipes in total, however they were added — imported, typed in, or received from another user. Once you reach 100, you can keep using, editing, and deleting everything you have, but you cannot add new recipes until you are below the limit or you upgrade.

Incoming shares when you are at the limit. Shared recipes are never added to your account automatically — you always choose whether to accept. If someone shares a recipe while your account is full, you still receive the notification, and when you try to accept it we tell you that you have reached your limit. The share stays where it is until you make room or upgrade.

What "unlimited" means, and what it doesn't. Unlimited means we do not meter your imports and you will never be charged extra or cut off for using ReciDeck heavily as a cook. It does not mean the service will accept automated, bulk, or machine-generated volume. To protect the service for everyone, paid plans are subject to our Fair Use Policy, which forms part of these terms and sets out the only limits that apply: a cap on simultaneous imports, generous hourly and daily burst thresholds, and a prohibition on automation, credential sharing, and resale. The thresholds are published there in full — we do not operate undisclosed limits.

Family plan. One subscription covers the organizer plus up to 3 members, four people in total. All four hold the Family plan for as long as they are members, and only within a family can collections and grocery lists be shared as described in §7.

Billing. Paid plans are sold and billed through your Apple App Store account (and, when the Android version launches, through Google Play). Renewal, upgrade, cancellation, and refunds are handled by the store under its own terms, which apply alongside these.

Free trials. Where we offer a free trial, it converts into a paid subscription automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel first. The length of the trial, the price that follows, and the date it starts are shown in the app before you begin, and you can cancel at any time from your App Store account settings.

Plan levels are controlled by our servers and the subscription system; the app cannot change them by itself.

Family plan via membership. Accepting a family invite grants you the Family plan for as long as you are a member. Leaving the family, being removed, or the organizer downgrading their subscription ends that grant and returns you to the Free plan. You keep your own recipes.

If a paid plan ends (cancellation, non-renewal, or expiry), you keep every recipe, collection, and grocery list you own — nothing is deleted or hidden. Free-plan limits apply to creating new items only: if you own more collections or lists than the Free plan allows, you can keep using them all, and you can create new ones again once you are below the limit. Your import allowance becomes the Free plan's from the next weekly period.

4. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)

As a consumer you have 14 days to withdraw from a subscription without giving a reason.

When you subscribe, you ask us to make the service available immediately and you acknowledge that by doing so you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, in accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU and Article 59 of the Italian Codice del Consumo. If you withdraw during the 14 days after partial use, you owe an amount proportionate to what you used.

Because purchases are processed by Apple (or Google) as merchant of record, refund requests go through the store. We will assist where we can: support@recideck.com.

5. Your content and our license

Your recipes, photos, lists, and notes are yours. You grant us the license needed to operate the service: to store, process (including AI processing at your request), display, and transmit your content to you and to the people you choose to share it with. This license lasts as long as you keep the content on ReciDeck and ends when you delete it, except for the two documented survivals in §11. We claim no other rights, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

6. Sharing (person to person)

• Accepting a shared recipe creates the recipient's own independent copy — a snapshot at the moment of sharing. From then on the two copies are fully independent; edits on one never affect the other.

• You can cancel a share only while it is pending. Once accepted, the recipient's copy is theirs, including after you delete your account.

• A recipient's copy may reference the sender's stored photo; if the sender later deletes that photo, the copy can lose its image. Text is unaffected.

7. Families

• A family is 1 organizer plus up to 3 members. Joining is only possible through an invite.

• Sharing with a family happens at the level of collections and grocery lists, by their owner. Other members' content is visible to you only inside what was shared — never their personal libraries.

• Recipes in a shared collection are collaborative: any family member may edit them, and edits are visible to all, live. Deleting a recipe remains owner-only. Edits by anyone other than the original creator permanently mark the recipe "Edited from the original".

• Duplicates and merging: the organizer sets the family's duplicate rule (merge / keep both / ask). When copies merge, the newest version is kept and the other copy's owner is recorded as a co-owner with a claim: whenever the merged recipe leaves their reach (leaving the family, dissolution, un-sharing, or deleting the collection or recipe), the service automatically gives them their own independent copy in its then-current state. The merge system is designed so no member's recipe is lost.

• Leaving or removal: your shared collections and lists stop being shared, recipes you contributed leave the family's collections, claims pay out, and your plan returns to Free.

• The organizer cannot leave a family. Downgrading their subscription dissolves it: everything is un-shared, claims pay out, members return to the Free plan, and everyone keeps their own recipes.

8. Attribution (the creator model)

Every recipe permanently records who first created it — an external creator for imports, or a ReciDeck user for original recipes. Attribution never changes on edit or share and cannot be removed. Do not misrepresent the origin of content.

9. Imported and third-party content

• When you import from a link, you are asking us to fetch and process a publicly accessible post or page on your behalf, for your personal, non-commercial cooking use. You are responsible for what you import and for ensuring you are entitled to do so.

• Imported recipes keep attribution to their external creator. ReciDeck does not claim ownership of third-party content and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or any linked site.

• Creators: if you believe content in ReciDeck infringes your rights, email legal@recideck.com with the material identified and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it promptly.

10. Automated extraction — limits you should know

Extraction is automated and can be imperfect. We deliberately do not invent quantities or steps the source doesn't state, and the app flags drawbacks (transcribed audio, generated photos, missing amounts) — but you must use your own judgment when cooking.

Always verify ingredients against your allergies and dietary needs, and verify cooking times and temperatures for food safety. Recipes are information, not professional dietary, medical, or food-safety advice.

11. Suspension, termination, and deletion

By you. You can delete your account in the app at any time. This removes your recipes, images, lists, memberships, and notifications, and it cannot be undone.

Cancel your subscription first. Deleting your ReciDeck account does not cancel a subscription purchased through Apple, and does not stop Apple billing you. Cancel it in the Settings app under your Apple Account → Subscriptions before deleting your account. Two things survive by design, as described in the Privacy Policy: recipients' accepted copies, and anonymous cached content extracted from public links. Claims other members hold on your shared recipes pay out to them first.

By us. We may suspend or terminate an account only where you:

• materially breach these terms or the Fair Use Policy;

• use the service unlawfully, or infringe others' rights;

• attempt to circumvent technical limits, authentication, or billing.

Except where the breach is serious, unlawful, or repeated, we will notify you and give you a reasonable opportunity to correct the problem before suspending or terminating. If we terminate a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused portion of your subscription period on a pro-rata basis.

12. Disclaimers and liability

ReciDeck is provided as described in these terms and in the app. Push notifications and realtime sync are best-effort and depend on connectivity and on third-party platforms we do not control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or €50.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury, liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence under Article 1229 of the Italian Civil Code, and your mandatory rights as a consumer, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Italian law.

If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence. For consumers resident in Italy, the competent court is that of your municipality of residence or domicile, in accordance with the Codice del Consumo.

If you are not a consumer, the courts of Lucca, Italy have exclusive jurisdiction.

Before going to court, please write to legal@recideck.com — most problems are faster to fix directly.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. We will announce material changes in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and you may cancel your subscription before that date if you do not accept them. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
